Thank you a lot for sharing. Besides knowing the site path to apply there is an important thing to think of, Korean CVs and Cover Letter format, Can you share the website where we can do Korean format or any method to do it?

On Guam, if you’re living alone and barely home, power bill is at least $100 and water is at least $60. A decent 1 bedroom apartment is at least $1,000. Cost of living is high and wages are low. Strawberries are $10 for a small container. Bag of Lays chips is $7. A dozen eggs is at least $6. Koreans that come here say that prices are 2x or 3x more than Korea. 😬 When I go to mainland U.S. I literally cry when I go to Target or Walmart or Winco or Costco.

I just did the math based on average income and average utility bills and it is around 230% more expensive to be in the us. idc ab the lower wages it’s still cheap! I’d love to live there one day 🫶

Great advice because I'm the type to bring a little bit of everything and only wear two things in public and only wearing the other things in my room. So while I'm rewearing the same pair of pants 3 days in a row, I'm also keeping that one shirt unworn just for the trip home since I have to sit next to people for several hours.

I have to say I am so happy I am from Czechia. czech language is "really easy" :D just silly joke. I have US friends which have been living in Czech republic for years and no they are not able to speak fluently. Czech grammar is crazy, prounounciation is even worst than Korean. On the other hands structure of sentences is close to Korean, we use several different ways of politeness. May be it is reason why I love Korean so much

Yeah, I am a lawyer too. You need to go bachelor all over again and only then pass additional exams to be able to work properly. That sucks really. I think that also making law-related job impossible if you don’t want to live at the same country your whole life.

For most lawyers from the EU and the US, completing an LLM and then passing the nation‘s bar is enough to work in a different jurisdiction. However, this may vary

So my personal story is I started learning Korean 50 days ago. I have Rocket Korean online which I use at this point to just repeat repeat repeat the alphabet until I have it memorized. I practice for 3 hours a day minimum, with a goal of reaching 6 hours a day eventually. I also have a weekly private tutor who helps me with new vocabulary and pronunciation. Lastly, I try to do immersion by attending a Korean church and being put on the spot to listen and respond the best I can, as well as listening to the music and sermon fully in Korean. The music in particular is useful because it often has repetition of phrases that I can understand from the context. For example that is how I learned the word for Jesus, just by listening to the music. Lastly, for immersion I try to watch as much K-drama as possible. I am not at the point I can turn off the English subtitles, but I am finding I am able to at least read and pronounce written Korean I see on the shows, albeit extremely slowly. Do you think this is a good strategy to learn the language? My goal is fluency in 7 years.

Is it me or do most of them all kind of look the same and nothing like the examples? Just slightly different finishes. I wonder if the models had concealer on their lips or something to show a more 'true' color. This is why videos like these are so useful. I think they all looked good on you but 'Barely' really seemed to suit your skin tone.

Im going to explain something, phonetics work by rules, if a sound changes following a rule we can consider the language phonetic, example of c sound in spanish, ca, co,cu sounds as ka,ko,ku however if you write ce,ci changes the sound completely as ze,zi. It is still a phonetic language, another thing would be a dialectal variants as well. In Korean as far as I know there is always a rule for those changes wich means that is still phonetic. You know Which language is not phonetic? English 😂
